Dear Families,

Everyone needs a little fun in a year when things are all but normal!  Yesterday, Mrs. Kalk and I gathered our upper grade students together for a quick check-in.  In our little chat, we shared some of the things they could expect at St. John’s in a “normal “year.  Because so many of our typical activities are “on hold” for awhile, we are mixing it up here at school in new ways!

You may have noticed that we have been doing some fun dress-up days on Friday.  This will continue periodically, but we will also add fun activities, treats, entertainment, and surprises to the mix in the coming weeks.  When we consider school culture, it is important that we come together each week as a class to talk and share (recall my earlier note about the Danish Klassens tid).  It is also important that we celebrate being St. John’s Eagles as an entire school!  We are a family that can laugh or cry together, and that starts with purposeful bonding and fun opportunities.  God has given us plenty for which we can be joyful, and FUN Fridays are a chance to remember that.  Watch for weekly information and follow-up photos!

In joyful service,

Mrs. Dolan
