Each Wednesday, our pastors take time out of their busy schedules to visit all of our classes, and yesterday I had the pleasure of joining Ms. Fuhrman’s class during their special time with Pastor Johnson. At first, Pastor Johnson practiced some basic liturgical responses with the group, as well as the Apostles’ Creed. It wasn’t too long, though, before one little hand after another started shooting up, wiggling and waving to get Pastor’s attention.
“Pastor Johnson, is that Jesus on the cross?”
“Pastor Johnson, is the Holy Spirit with Jesus?”
“Pastor Johnson, Jesus loves all the people in the next city!”
It was with this last exclamation, proclaimed by a beautiful little girl with a gigantic smile on her face, that everyone then began to chime in.
“Yes, Jesus loves everyone!”
Watching and listening to these little boys and girls, especially during religion time, always warms my heart, and in a way, it just makes a busy day slow down and the noise of a chaotic world shut off. These little guys get it, and they rejoice in it too. Jesus does loves everyone! In fact, He loves everyone so much that He died for us all. That’s a whole lot of love! So take a moment, please, and just think about that. Think about the fact that you are so very, very loved, and then go about the rest of your day and rejoice in that knowledge!
Your sister in Christ,
Mrs. Tori Kuehne
