Faith Based Programs

Learn. Pray. Grow.

Learn. Pray. Grow. is a guide to family and classroom devotions. It intends to teach the faith not as just another school subject but as a living practice: a daily habit of reading God’s Word, reciting the chief parts of Martin Luther’s Catechism, and praying to God for the needs of all people. This practice will nurture faith and teach godliness via the heart as much as the head.

Chapel

Chapel is a special time each week for students and teachers to come together and praise the Lord. This service, typically held each Friday, is lead by either Pastor Moss or Pastor Johnson and follows the traditional Lutheran liturgy of Matins. Hymns, prayers, and a special message fill this time, and even the youngest of students soon learn how to participate. Class choirs regularly sing in chapel; so too does the middle school handbell choir.

At the beginning of each chapel service a voluntary offering is collected with all money going directly to specific ministries. These ministries are either chosen by our school administration, individual classrooms, or by the students. Past supported ministries include Lutheran Braille Workers, Camp Omega, Crescent Cove, K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry, Sole Hope, and many more. This year we have chosen to support one of our former students and her missionary work in Costa Rica.
